PUBG Studios, a subsidiary of Krafton, has announced a new demo for its upcoming PC title, 'PUBG: BLINDSPOT' (hereinafter BLINDSPOT), available now on Steam.

The demo will be available for three weeks, starting Tuesday, August 14th, at 14:00 KST, and running until Tuesday, September 2nd, at 14:00 KST. This version features significantly expanded content and systems compared to the initial demo released in February.

First, four new characters have been added: ▲Wilson, ▲Goldberg, ▲Patch, and ▲Whistle, each equipped with exclusive weapons and unique gadgets. Furthermore, a dedicated character system has been introduced for standard matches. Apex, Whistle, Birdie, Wilson, and Goldberg are exclusive to the attacking team, while Dropout, Fanatic, Collision, Patch, and Haze are exclusive to the defending team. Kayak, Zen, Carnival, and Claris can be selected by both teams.

A skill-based ranking system has also been implemented. The rank consists of seven tiers that fluctuate based on match results, and players can earn exclusive rewards such as rank icons and profile borders to motivate competitive play.

A 'vaulting' action has been added, allowing characters to jump over obstacles. Additionally, a tutorial mode is available to help new players learn the basics and adapt quickly. Based on player feedback regarding camera controls and difficulties in shooting crouching enemies, the developers have implemented several quality-of-life improvements for beginners.

A 'drop-in system' has been applied, which automatically brings in new players if a teammate leaves mid-match. Other features to assist with team coordination and tactical collaboration include a smart ping system that adapts to the target's status, waypoint markers, and in-game voice chat. New announcer and character voice lines have also been added to make combat situations more intuitive.
