With DN Freecs snatching the final ticket to the playoffs, the 2025 LCK Challengers League (LCK CL) playoffs are set to kick off on the 15th.

The play-in final round concluded on Monday the 8th, confirming the final six teams. KT Rolster and T1 eSports have secured direct berths to the second round, while DRX, BNK FearX Youth, Gen.G Global Academy, and DN Freecs will clash in the first round of the playoffs.

Last Monday, DN Freecs pulled off an upset against Nongshim RedForce, despite a disadvantageous head-to-head record. In the first set, Nongshim RedForce dominated the objective team fights to secure a win and take the lead. However, the tide turned in the second set. Despite trailing by roughly 2,700 gold early on, DN Freecs maintained their focus to steal the victory. They went on to win the third and fourth sets to clinch their spot. Notably, 'Pungyeon' Lee Jong-hyeok and 'Toive' Bang Mun-yeong were named POG, proving their rising momentum.

The 2025 LCK CL playoffs will be played in a best-of-five format. On Monday the 15th, the first round sees DRX face Gen.G Global Academy at 2 PM, followed by BNK FearX Youth versus DN Freecs at 5 PM. The losers of these two matches will battle for survival in the losers' bracket on Tuesday the 16th. On Monday the 22nd at 2 PM, KT Rolster will take on a team of their choosing from the first-round winners, while T1 eSports Academy faces the remaining victor at 5 PM.

LCK CL playoff matches will be held at the WDG Studio in Hongdae, Seoul. Tickets can be booked via Ticketlink starting 24 hours before the match, with on-site kiosk collection available. Tickets are priced at 15,000 KRW, with a limit of four per person.
