Nexon announced on the 23rd that it has added two new classes, Wind Archer and Night Walker, to MapleStory Idle. This update marks the first time the Cygnus Knights class group has been introduced to the game. The new character Wind Archer is an archer that uses the power of the spirit Storm to manipulate wind, while the Night Walker is a rogue that utilizes shadows and darkness with the power of the spirit Darkness.

To celebrate the addition of the new classes, a new character growth event will be held until September 23rd. This event for new characters is divided into two segments: level 30 to 70, and level 70 to 100, providing rewards upon reaching specific levels. Rewards include various character growth resources, such as Growth Elixirs that provide an instant level-up when used.

In addition, a Burning Field Booster event will be held daily until August 12th. When a Burning Field Booster is used, exclusive monsters are summoned for a certain period, and defeating them grants a large amount of experience. Starting August 1st, a monthly attendance event will be held where attendance is recognized upon completing all daily missions, offering rewards such as Companion Summon Tickets and Miracle Cubes.

Furthermore, a new difficulty level, Chaos, has been added to the existing boss raid content, Horntail. Players who defeat the Chaos difficulty Horntail can obtain the new necklace equipment, Chaos Horntail Necklace, and various growth materials.
