DreamAge and Bonfire Studios unveiled the first official gameplay footage for their new next-gen team-based PvP game, 'Arkheron', on the 18th. Arkheron is a large-scale team-based PvP game where 15 teams of three (45 players in total) compete while ascending a mysterious tower built from fragments of the past.

Players can acquire and combine items in real-time to complete their builds. Each item possesses distinct abilities, and combat styles and strategies vary depending on the player's choices. Arkheron is scheduled to be released next year on PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5.

The released footage captures the journey of the playable character 'Echo' through a surreal and mysterious 'tower' formed by living memories. It also showcased the unique environment, map design, graphics, and combat scenes.

DreamAge and Bonfire also announced the testing schedule for Arkheron. The first round of testing is scheduled to take place on Steam from the 20th (11:00 AM) to the 22nd, and the second round from the 26th to the 28th. Users can apply for the test and check related information through the Steam page.

DreamAge CEO Jung Woo-yong stated, "Arkheron is an ambitious project that Bonfire Studios has been preparing for a long time. You can experience creative strategies and organic cooperation between teammates that have not been seen in existing PvP games," adding, "We will use the feedback from this alpha test to present a more polished game."

Meanwhile, Bonfire Studios was co-founded in 2016 by Rob Pardo (former Blizzard Chief Creative Officer), Nick Carpenter (former Blizzard VP of Art and Cinematics), and Min Kim (former Nexon America CEO), and is led by core developers who have successfully launched global hits such as 'StarCraft', 'Overwatch', and 'Diablo'.
