Indie developer tobyfox opened the Undertale 10th anniversary special site on the 22nd. Through this, you can now play a mini-game that pits you against Sans during a 'Pacifist Route', a scenario previously considered impossible.

In the original Undertale, facing Sans requires you to commit to the so-called 'Genocide Route' where every monster is eradicated. However, this newly unveiled version lets you challenge Sans while adhering to a 'Pacifist' playthrough. Staying true to the theme, the encounter is structured so that you deal no damage; be warned, however—should you fail to dodge an attack or attempt to strike Sans, the game ends immediately.

Along with this, you can also engage in battles against new foes: 'Mr. Sunshine' and 'Aberrant'. This 10th-anniversary mini-game is accessible via the special site without any installation required, though do note that it is currently available in English only. During the 10th-anniversary online broadcasts on the 21st and 22nd, the development team also turned heads by showcasing regions and enemies that never made it into the main game.

Undertale is an RPG released back in 2015. It follows the journey of a protagonist exploring an underground realm to reach the surface, winning acclaim for its distinct character writing and a dense narrative that unravels over multiple playthroughs. Tobyfox, the creator of Undertale, has since introduced the follow-up Deltarune and is currently busy developing its final chapter, Chapter 5.
