KeSPA announced on Thursday the 18th that it held a donation ceremony to provide hardware for schools participating in the 'School-Visiting Esports Tournament' initiative, aiming to foster a proper gaming environment on campus.

The initiative was put together to help schools build their own esports infrastructure and to support students' career paths and club activities. Naturally, KeSPA prioritised schools struggling with a lack of resources, carefully vetting their plans for the equipment before making the final selection.

Three schools were chosen for this rollout: Jaeneung Middle School (Incheon), Mokpo Yeonghwa Middle School (Jeonnam Mokpo), and Yeosu Technical High School (Jeonnam Yeosu). Jaeneung Middle School plans to use the kits to launch creative extracurricular activities and autonomous clubs, with an eye towards hosting local esports events.

Mokpo Yeonghwa Middle School intends to integrate the gear into its regular curriculum and after-school club sessions, aiming to run consistent internal leagues. Meanwhile, Yeosu Technical High School is looking to support its student athletes, host city-wide tournaments, and expand its roster, making it a clear candidate for this support.

The gear itself is top-tier, thanks to generous backing from Samsung, Sidiz, Logitech, and MSI.
