The Danganronpa series has surpassed 10 million units in total shipments, 15 years after its debut.

The news was announced on the 24th via the official Danganronpa X account. Developer Spike Chunsoft stated, "We extend our sincerest gratitude to every player," and added, "We hope you continue to show your interest in Danganronpa moving forward."

Danganronpa is a mystery-adventure game that first debuted on the PSP in 2010. The core gameplay involves investigating murder cases while being held captive in a confined space. It gained significant popularity for its plot twists, solid deduction systems, charismatic characters, and brutal execution scenes. This success led to sequels such as Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and Danganronpa 3, and the series was also adapted into an anime based on the original story.

Meanwhile, Spike Chunsoft is set to release a new title, Danganronpa 2X2, next year. It is a remake of 'Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair', featuring upgraded visuals based on the original characters along with new scenarios.
