To celebrate the 30th anniversary of 'Pokémon Red and Green', the legendary 'Fat Pikachu'—a first-gen Pikachu plush—is back. Alongside this, you can find voice-activated figures and starter Pokémon sets hitting the shelves.

Japanese toy giant Takara Tomy announced three new items on the 16th to mark the 30th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Green. Sales kick off on February 28th, featuring a nostalgic plushie, a talking figure, and a starter Pokémon set. Prices are set at 7,480 yen (approx. 70,000 KRW) for the plushie, 2,200 yen (approx. 20,400 KRW) for the voice figure, and 2,145 yen (approx. 19,900 KRW) for the figure set.

The 'Pokémon 30th Anniversary Welcome! Pikachu 1/1' is a faithful reproduction of the original 1997 release, which famously shipped 450,000 units. It even sports the original tag design and retains that delightfully rotund silhouette that predates the slimmer, more modern look of today.

The voice figure stands about 13cm tall and features a soft texture, packing in 25 different sound patterns. Meanwhile, the starter set groups partner Pokémon from all nine regions, from Kanto to Paldea, in trios. The packaging is designed with each region's aesthetic in mind, making it perfect for display without even opening the box.
