ATEN Korea, the local arm of the KVM and AV solutions specialist, is launching the USB 3.0 8K DisplayPort dual display KVMP switches, the CS1942DPA and CS1944DPA, on February 23, 2026. These new products allow users to control multiple PCs and USB peripherals with a single keyboard and mouse, contributing to improved workflow efficiency in high-resolution environments.

The ATEN CS1942DPA and ATEN CS1944DPA are 2-port and 4-port KVM switches, respectively. Users can control two or four computers with a single keyboard and mouse in a dual DisplayPort monitor setup. Aside from the number of external ports, the two models share identical specifications, offering efficient system switching and space utilization for users managing multiple systems.

This new series marks the first 8K-supported KVM switch line based on ATEN's enterprise-grade design. It supports DisplayPort 1.4 and HDR10+, with resolutions up to 7680×4320 @ 60Hz, 5120×2880 @ 60Hz, and 4096×2160 @ 120Hz. This enables crisp and smooth visuals for ultra-high-resolution graphic work or environments requiring high refresh rates. Support for 21:9 and 32:9 ultra-wide aspect ratios ensures high immersion in wide-screen and multi-window multitasking environments.

The ATEN CS1942DPA and ATEN CS1944DPA provide a centralized control environment for managing multiple computers with one keyboard, mouse, and dual monitors. They are ideal for professional users who prioritize productivity in high-resolution environments, such as designers, video editors, CAD/CAM engineers, and broadcasters. Additionally, they support a plug-and-play environment by including DisplayPort and USB cables as standard, allowing for immediate use without additional setup.

Various computer switching methods are available, including front push-buttons, a remote port selector, hotkeys, mouse wheel clicks, and RS-232 commands. KVM, USB, and audio signals can be switched independently, allowing for flexible system configuration based on user needs. Features such as keyboard and mouse emulation and power-detection-based auto-switching enhance the stability of the work environment. For scalability, the daisy-chain function allows users to connect two CS1942DPA or CS1944DPA units to configure a quad-display setup. The built-in USB 3.1 Gen 1 hub supports data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps, enabling efficient sharing of various peripherals without the need for an extra USB hub.

The newly released ATEN CS1942DPA and ATEN CS1944DPA support various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, and feature a compact, ergonomic design to help maximize desktop space. ATEN Korea expects these products to be the optimal solution for professional users who need to efficiently control multiple systems in high-resolution, multi-display environments. They are expected to be utilized as key equipment for enhancing work efficiency in fields such as graphic design, content creation, finance, office environments, and wide-screen-based multitasking setups.
