Webzen has released an additional statement regarding the 'Dragon Sword publishing dispute' with Hound13. While they confirmed that the outstanding MG balance was settled with Hound13 on the 27th, they emphasized that Hound13's claim of 'publishing contract termination' is invalid.

In response, Webzen released an additional statement via the official Dragon Sword community on March 3rd. First, Webzen explained, "We paid the full remaining MG balance to Hound13 on February 27th." Furthermore, they stated that they are currently in discussions with Hound13 on measures for a smooth service, including additional investment.

However, they added that Hound13's notice of contract termination is invalid as it did not meet procedural requirements. Webzen explained, "Hound13's unilateral notice of contract termination lacks substantive legal requirements, considering the rights held by Webzen, including the right of defense against anxiety. Furthermore, it failed to meet the procedural requirements stipulated in the publishing contract with Webzen, as well as the procedural requirements under Hound13's articles of incorporation, which mandate a resolution by a general meeting of shareholders to terminate a contract with a shareholder."

Following this, Hound13 stated, "Through a shareholders' meeting on the 3rd, we have agreed to put aside the war of attrition over legal rights and wrongs for a moment and focus on practical solutions." As the two companies, which had been at odds over payment delays, have decided to resume dialogue, it is worth watching closely whether the Dragon Sword service, which was on the verge of suspension, can be normalized.
