PAN STUDIO has rolled out the 1.2 expansion update for its action RPG, Duet Night Abyss, as of the 10th. This update continues the trajectory of the initial 1.2 release, packing in new characters, weapons, a revamped content rotation, season-based activities, and a refreshed shop.

The star of this show is the new lightning-element character, 'Wookmyung.' Once the update hits, you can snag Wookmyung via request letters for free or simply buy them from the shop. We are also seeing the debut of exclusive weapons: the polearm 'Sin’s Scale' and the assault rifle 'Triangle Muse.' Both can be forged for free or purchased, with Sin’s Scale available in the [Performance Commemoration] shop and Triangle Muse found within the Echoes of Nightmare mode.

The request letter rotation is getting a shake-up, too. The limited-time 'Jiryu' and 'Long Years of Parting' letters are being swapped out for 'Wookmyung' and 'Sin’s Scale.' Meanwhile, in the Echoes of Nightmare rewards, 'Truffle & Hazelnut,' 'Arch Age,' and 'Hymn of Dawn' are making way for the new arrivals. Don't worry—the outgoing items aren't vanishing into the ether; they’re moving to the shop as permanent additions. Plus, the weekly reset for Echoes of Nightmare remains untouched.

Also arriving is the seasonal content 'Bard’s Collection: Prelude of the Morning Sun 2,' running from the 10th until April 7th. By completing the 'Bard’s Collection' quests, you’ll level up your poetry segments to earn rewards. If you spring for the collector’s edition, you’ll pocket a 'Time Selection Costume Package: Youth.' Milestone rewards include various essentials like Spirit (choice), Moonstones, Hourglasses, Phase Shift Modules, and more. The vanity shop is also getting a fresh coat of paint with new weapon costumes, including the 'Song of the Blue Sky' series for assault rifles, polearms, and blade whips.

The event calendar is quite busy. Starting on the 10th and running through April 6th, we have the 'Era of Peace' attendance event. This is followed by the 'Bard’s Collection' season pass, the 'Harvest Day' farming event—which promises a 300% to 2000% drop rate boost for Demon Wedges—the mission-driven 'Civilization Event,' and the competitive 'Towards the Summit' mode. The Civilization showdown kicks off on the 13th through the 28th, the second Harvest Day runs from the 20th to the 27th, and the climb to the top happens from the 24th to April 3rd. Just make sure you’ve cleared the required story segments to unlock these.

The immersive theater content has seen a tweak to its stage accompaniment and elemental recommendations. This season, lightning is the enemy’s primary weakness. To sweeten the deal, the 'Event Assist' effect grants a nifty bonus: if your lightning character’s skill power exceeds 100%, every 30% increment allows them to ignore 3.5% of the target’s defense, capping out at a respectable 42%.
