Roblox will launch its new subscription service, 'Roblox Plus', on April 30.

For $4.99 per month, the service offers discounts on in-game items and avatars, along with exclusive benefits. Subscribers receive a 10% discount on in-game purchases and avatar items, which increases to 20% after maintaining the subscription for three months or more.

Subscribers can utilize private servers in any supported game at no additional cost, allowing them to freely choose who they play with.

Additionally, subscribers can transfer Robux to other users on the platform without fees. Users under 18 must obtain parental or guardian approval for every Robux transaction, while those 19 and older must complete an age verification process. Subscribers can also trade and resell avatar items, as well as list them on the Roblox Marketplace.

Beyond these features, Roblox will sequentially roll out subscriber-exclusive badges and additional perks after launch. The Roblox Plus plan also introduces an automatic monthly Robux top-up feature.

Roblox will cover the full cost of the discounts to ensure that content creators' item sales revenue remains unaffected. Furthermore, qualified creators can earn rewards when Roblox Plus subscribers spend time in their paid private servers. A new API will also allow developers to integrate Roblox Plus subscriptions directly into their games. Through this, Roblox will provide bonus Robux for each new subscriber acquired for up to three months.

Roblox Plus helps users utilize their Robux more efficiently through purchase discounts and differentiated benefits, while directly supporting the creators who are growing Roblox."

With the launch of Roblox Plus, Roblox will scale back its existing subscription service, 'Roblox Premium'. New sign-ups for Roblox Premium will be restricted, though existing members can maintain their memberships. Existing subscribers will be provided with a one-month trial of Roblox Plus. Starting May 30, certain benefits such as the 10% bonus on additional Robux purchases and the Premium profile badge will be discontinued.
