Sandbox Interactive’s free-to-play fantasy sandbox MMORPG, Albion Online, launched on Xbox Series X/S on the 21st. It offers a fully unified cross-platform experience, allowing players to share the exact same characters, gear, and progress with those on PC and mobile.

Albion Online has been fully optimized for the Xbox Series X/S. The user interface (UI) and navigation system have been specifically designed to ensure quick and seamless access to all menus and systems. Controller support has also been updated and improved to maintain responsiveness and competitiveness while helping new players adapt easily. These upgrades have been applied across all platforms, ensuring players enjoy a consistent controller experience on any device.

Existing Albion Online players can link their accounts on Xbox to continue their progress. Additionally, new and existing players who link their accounts with Xbox Game Pass will receive exclusive rewards. These rewards include a vanity bundle and 3 days of Premium status. Premium status provides benefits that increase the efficiency of in-game activities, as well as bonuses and additional opportunities to earn rewards.

Currently, the Albion Online creator event 'The Crucible II' is underway. Over 100 creators are participating, including last year’s winner, Zizaran. In this event, creators form guilds and compete to earn the most points. For this year's prizes, Albion Online collaborated with That Works to craft weapons inspired by the game. This includes a massive Kingmaker sword for the winner and Twin Slayer daggers for the 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Beyond console optimization and cross-platform play, Albion Online features a variety of core elements. Through a player-driven economy, almost every in-game item is crafted by players and traded in local markets. The game adopts a classless combat system where skills are determined by weapons and armor, allowing players to change their playstyle simply by switching gear. Players face various enemies, ranging from small patrols to massive bosses, dungeons, and full faction bases. It is also possible to claim land to grow crops, raise livestock and mounts, and decorate houses. Players can explore a vast world consisting of five biomes to discover resources, dungeons, and the mysterious Roads of Avalon.
