Following the buzz surrounding Don Lee's appearance at last year's The Game Awards, the sudden disappearance of the 'Gang of Dragon' official YouTube channel has raised serious concerns regarding the project's future.

As of 11:00 AM on April 24, the 'Gang of Dragon' YouTube channel displays as 'This channel does not exist.' While the trailer unveiled during The Game Awards 2025 remains hosted on the awards ceremony's own channel, we have confirmed that other hubs—including the official X account, the Steam page, and developer Nagoshi Studio's website—are currently still active.

However, a Bloomberg report from March indicated that 'Gang of Dragon' is in a precarious situation due to NetEase withdrawing its financial backing. According to sources, the project requires an additional $44 million (approximately 65.2 billion KRW) to reach completion, which was reportedly a primary reason for NetEase's decision to stop funding.

If they cannot secure funding from NetEase, Nagoshi Studio must find alternative ways to cover development costs. The closure of the official YouTube channel following these reports has heightened concerns about the project's status.

'Gang of Dragon' is an upcoming action title from Nagoshi Studio, founded by Toshihiro Nagoshi, the director behind the Yakuza series. Players take on the role of Shin Ji-sung, a Korean mafia lieutenant navigating the cutthroat turf wars of Shinjuku's Kabukicho. The project notably features actor Don Lee, well-known for his roles in The Roundup series, as the protagonist.
