NEXON announced on the 29th that the massive 'Riven Tides' update has arrived for ARC Raiders. This content drop brings a brand-new map, fresh environmental conditions, a hulking new ARC, and a series of radar events and projects to keep you busy. PS5 Pro owners, take note: you're getting a nice little graphical polish, too.

‘Riven Tides’ marks the sixth free update since launch. It introduces the titular map, situated along the 'Rust Belt' coastline. One half of this area features the ruins of 'Panorama Azzurro', a once-luxurious hotel complete with swimming pools, nightclubs, and tennis courts, while the other side is a gritty industrial port packed with shipping containers and massive cranes. A deep trench splits these two zones, offering plenty of verticality for those keen on exploring the nooks and crannies of the map.

The new 'Beachcombing' environmental condition also debuts with this update. You can use 'Pier Master's Detectors' found scattered across the map to unearth hidden loot buried in the sand—though you’ll have to weigh the greed against the risk of being exposed in open terrain. Furthermore, a new large-scale ARC called the 'ARC Turbine' has arrived. It drifts above the map before touching down to excavate the ground, dropping mines and firing guided grenades to keep you and your squad at arm's length.

To celebrate the update, NEXON is rolling out a series of events. The 'Last Refuge' radar event runs until May 25th, allowing you to earn 'Merit' through gameplay XP and by collecting 'Small Ship Models'. You can trade these in for a three-page catalogue of rewards, including the 'Junior Outfit' and the 'Hydrologist Backpack'.

Additionally, completing every stage of the 'Bird Warning' radar project—which involves setting up sensors to monitor seismic activity and atmospheric shifts—will net you a 'Birdhouse Backpack Attachment' and a 'Pier Master's Detector'. A third 'Expedition Project' is also live, granting permanent skill points to those who participate. Finally, for the PS5 Pro crowd, the new PSSR upscaler is now enabled, promising a crisper, more refined visual experience.
