Look, let's be honest, the final chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy, titled 'Revelation', has finally broken cover.

Square Enix took to the stage at the Summer Game Fest showcase on the 6th to drop the news. The revealed trailer treats us to combat snippets featuring Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent, while also teasing the arrival of 'Weapon', the so-called guardians of the planet.

Picking up right where Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth left off, the narrative stakes are, predictably, world-ending. You will be going up against Sephiroth, all while dealing with those ancient, planet-defending behemoths known as Weapons.

The grand saga, which spans Remake, Rebirth, and now Revelation, is set to reach its conclusion. Notably, the red-caped enigma Vincent Valentine finally joins the party as a proper playable companion. He is a modified human packing a oversized handgun and some rather dark secrets; in-game, you can expect him to shift between his human form and some truly monstrous transformations.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is scheduled to launch in spring 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with official Korean language support included. Best of luck with the wait.
