NEXON announced on the 26th that the second season of Mabinogi Mobile, 'Light and Darkness', is now live. This update brings the new main story, 'Goddess Descent Chapter 5: Light and Darkness', and pushes the level cap to 100. They have also added new hunting grounds, dungeons, Abyss content, raids, seasonal exclusive skills, and a server-wide progression system to enhance the growth experience.

The core of Season 2 is the main story, 'Goddess Descent Chapter 5: Light and Darkness'. This story follows the investigation of strange phenomena across Erinn, revealing a secret ritual orchestrated by Dragonhood, and tasks players with tracking them down to face the encroaching threat. With the level cap increased to 100, players have a wider range of growth.

New hunting grounds and dungeons have also been added. 'Pale Mountain' is a mountain of spirits that have lost the light of life; defeating the field boss Angrboda allows players to obtain rare loot such as 'Red Moon Seals', Mystic Dice Key Boxes, and enchantments. The 'Runda Dungeon', set in an ancient waterway, and the 'Fiord Dungeon', set in a mysterious forest where the Goddess once resided, have also been unveiled.

On the 2nd, the new Abyss 'Runda Abyss', set in the deep sea, is scheduled to be updated. In this dungeon, which leads through ghost ships and sea caves to the deep, dark ocean, players will face three bosses in sequence: Caldred, Despel, and Terosa. Each boss requires different strategic combat, such as utilizing shipwreck gimmicks, handling a berserk giant Sahagin, or surviving a simultaneous encounter with a massive Kraken.

Following this, the new raid 'Kabrak' is scheduled to be released on the 16th. Kabrak, a dragon that wields the power of sand and earth, requires player cooperation to counter heavy patterns such as powerful breath attacks that sweep the entire area and petrification attacks. The boss is characterized by increasingly fierce attack patterns as the battle progresses.

Two new systems have been introduced to add to the fun of character growth. The seasonal exclusive skill 'Traces of Night' consists of passive skills that enhance each class's combat abilities. The server-wide growth system 'Soulstream' consists of three elements: 'Star', 'Dwarf Star', and 'Soul', where the soul production rate varies based on the combined combat power, life skills, and charm of all characters on the server. Activating 'Star' provides various effects such as increased attack power, improved soul production, and increased life experience, while 'Dwarf Star' can be used to strengthen basic stats related to combat and life skills.
