A unique game that combines 'Monster Hunter' and 'Animal Crossing' has emerged.

Chinese developer Jotoyo revealed its new title, 'Monster Fantasy', via its official YouTube channel on the 24th. Monster Fantasy is an action RPG infused with life-simulation elements, set in the Kingdom of Eldoras, following the journey of a hero who has lost their memory.

The core gameplay involves roaming vast areas to hunt giant monsters, much like the 'Monster Hunter' series. Players can explore various environments such as forests, volcanic zones, deserts, and glaciers, which are home to 50 types of large monsters including dragons and griffins. Players can choose from classes like Warrior, Mage, Archer, or Martial Artist to enter the battlefield. Each class features diverse skills, such as firing homing arrows, throwing shields to strike groups, or calling down meteors to deal area-of-effect damage.

Once a hunt is successful, players can gather materials or capture exhausted monsters to recruit them as companions. Captured creatures can be trained and evolved; they can be used as mounts to traverse difficult terrain or fight alongside the player in battle. Furthermore, they can be brought back to the village to perform labor, such as moving heavy objects.

Beyond hunting, various life-simulation elements are included. After securing resources through hunting, mining, or logging, players can build their own village. Additionally, players can craft gear to strengthen their characters and cook meals to boost their stats. As the village grows, more residents will arrive, allowing players to interact and build relationships with them.
