With the Steam Summer Sale in full swing, a slew of titles are either testing the waters with their first-ever discounts or bumping their price cuts to eye-watering levels. Among these, the 'Special Deep Discount' section, which pushes savings up to a staggering 90%, is particularly hard to ignore.

The crown for the steepest price slashes goes to Watch Dogs 2 and Metro 2033 Redux. Watch Dogs 2 has increased its discount from a previous high of 90% to 95%, now available for just 3,250 won. Metro 2033 Redux follows suit at 95% off, bringing the price down to a mere 1,010 won.

The most significant jump in discount depth belongs to Barony, a voxel-based first-person co-op roguelike RPG that has hit the 90% mark for the very first time. Other notable entries joining the 90% off club include The Invincible, based on the SF novel of the same name, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022). Meanwhile, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Wreckfest have also bumped their discounts to 90%, with the former climbing high into the ranks of Steam's global top-selling games.

The 90% club doesn't end there. A host of other titles have jumped on the bandwagon, including Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Bendy and the Dark Revival, Rain World, Ghostwire: Tokyo, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Plague Inc., Dead Space, Far Cry 4, and The Quarry.

While they haven't increased their discount rates, several modern classics are holding steady at that sweet 90% off threshold. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remains at its 90% discount price, and Don't Starve Together, celebrating its 10th anniversary, is maintaining the 90% sale it kicked off on the 11th right through the Summer Sale.

In terms of Steam's global top-selling charts, Cyberpunk 2077 has surged to 2nd place. This spike is likely fuelled by the Summer Sale combined with fresh news regarding its animated spin-off. While the charts are dominated by discounted titles, Forza Horizon 6 has managed to hold its ground in 10th place.

Looking at the daily peak Concurrent Players top 20, EA Sports FC 26 hit a record-breaking 142,074 players, landing it in 11th place about nine months post-launch. The discount, timed alongside the 2026 North & Central America World Cup, has clearly worked its magic. With the World Cup entering the round of 32 over the weekend, interest is at an all-time high. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth also shattered its own record for daily peak Concurrent Players, reaching 123,429 thanks to its first-ever 90% discount.
