Smilegate Future Lab is set to host an AI short film special exhibition and a collaborative video creation workshop at the Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival. This special event, titled 'Future Lab AI Cinema Special: The World We Paint with AI,' will take place on July 11 at the Small Theater on the 8th floor of the Busan Cinema Center.

The exhibition will feature five short films produced by young creators through the AI video creation workshop 'Prompt to Film 2026.' The selected works include 'Your Punishment' by Ko Eun-seo, 'Silence' by Lee Ho-jae, 'Aurora' by Yang Dong-wook and Jung Jun-ki, 'Jun-ha and the Last Fruit' by Shin Jae-i and Shin Jun-ha, and 'Voyage' by Pi Ho-eun. Following the screening, a talk session will be held featuring Director Yoon Ga-eun and youth creator Kim Na-young.

From July 11 to 13, the collaborative workshop 'BIKY AI JAM' will take place. Held at the Editing Education Lab of Dongseo University's Im Kwon-taek College of Film and Performing Arts, this workshop will see 10 teams, each consisting of a youth and a young adult, working together. These participants will utilize AI as a creative tool to produce videos around one minute in length, with the final results to be screened at the film festival's closing ceremony.

The 21st Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival runs from July 8 to 14, and tickets for the special exhibition can be reserved via the official festival website.
