Ubisoft has finally pulled back the curtain on the core gameplay mechanics and fresh content for 'Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced', set to drop on July 9.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a full-blown remake of the 2013 original, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. It invites players to re-experience the legendary journey of Edward Kenway, now polished with the latest tech and a hefty serving of expanded content.

The latest briefing covers a complete overhaul of the combat, parkour, naval warfare, and hideout management systems.

Combat in Resynced now hinges on a 'parry' system designed to shatter enemy defences. A perfect parry triggers a brutal hidden blade execution, while the new multi-kill system allows Edward to chain takedowns on up to four foes. Edward can blend into crowds or toggle the iconic hood to vanish into the shadows at a moment's notice.

For the parkour purists, the developer has added advanced settings: you can toggle between upward momentum-focused traversal or the more precise downward 'side eject' maneuvers. Manual jumping grants finer control over the rooftops of Havana, and a new zipline system makes crossing those sprawling environments a breeze.

The Jackdaw is getting a boost with three new officers: Abel 'Padre' Galvao, Lucy Baldwin, and Tobias 'Deadman' Smith. Each brings unique tactical perks like increased ram damage, perfect shields, or mortar support. Furthermore, unlike the original, the player can now dive anywhere, opening up the entire Caribbean for underwater treasure hunting.

Edward's home base at Great Inagua sees a significant expansion. Players can upgrade the general store, tavern, and harbor master up to level three. New additions like the fisherman’s wharf and treasure chests offer a way to maximise passive income and unlock rare gear.

The package includes a brand-new endgame chapter, 'A World Without Gold,' which picks up after the main campaign, alongside fresh quests centered around Blackbeard.

Powered by the latest Anvil engine, the game now features dynamic ray-traced lighting. It also inherits the 'Atmos' complex weather simulation system from Assassin's Creed Shadows, delivering everything from scorching sunshine to full-blown hurricanes in real-time.

Fancy a challenge? You can now independently tweak the difficulty of combat, stealth, naval battles, and world activities—ranging from 'Merciful' to 'Hard'. The HUD is also fully customisable, with an option to strip it back entirely for total immersion.

To round things off, the shanty collection grows with 10 exclusive new tracks to accompany the original 35. You can even keep a pet on the Jackdaw or use the new photo mode to document your pirate escapades.

Led by Ubisoft Singapore, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will be available on Ubisoft+, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
