The regional qualifiers for the 18th President's Cup Amateur eSports Tournament (KeG) are set to kick off across the nation this 17th.

The President's Cup KeG has long served as a prime launchpad for amateurs dreaming of turning pro. To date, around 37,000 amateur players have participated, with over 180 successfully breaking into the professional circuit. Notably, last year alone, nine players from League of Legends and two from FC Online made their professional debuts.

This year, the tournament features four official titles: Eternal Return, Brawl Stars, FC Online, and League of Legends. A strategic addition this year is Puyo Puyo eSports, which is an official title for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Regional qualifiers to determine the finalists will begin in Jeju Province and roll out sequentially across local government districts.

The grand finals will be held at the Gyeongju Indoor Gymnasium in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The region that secures the overall championship will be awarded the championship trophy and the Presidential Award, while winners of each official category will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award. Furthermore, the top two finishers in the FC Online category will be provided with a seed for the round of 8 in the FC Online Futures League, which boasts a total prize pool of 25.5 million KRW.
