Kakao Games has unveiled the details for the upcoming 'Path of Exile' league, 'Curse of the Allflame', which is set to launch on the 25th.

The 'Curse of the Allflame' sets sail with pirate captain 'Valerie', embarking on a quest to uncover a legendary shipwreck buried in the depths of the Wraeclast seas. Players will chart their course using maps found during their adventures, boarding Valerie’s vessel to dive into the abyss.

Once powered by the Allflame, players will roam the deep sea, racing against the clock to salvage lost treasures and relics while fending off the monsters lurking in the dark. It is a strategic affair; players can arrange various exploration zones, mapping out routes that maximize regional synergies and potential rewards.

The 'Scion' is also getting a third ascendancy class: the 'Luminary'. This class focuses on commanding hired mercenaries, allowing players to tweak mercenary gear and forge a variety of unique combat builds.

The previous league content, 'Mercenaries of Traftus', is being integrated as core content. While the signature system of recruiting mercenaries through duels remains, the developer has bolstered strategic depth by introducing mercenary-specific skills and a new on-demand summoning mechanic.

Quality-of-life improvements are also being implemented, including a rework of the socket system that removes restrictive color requirements. After the update, any gem can be slotted into any socket regardless of color, with additional bonuses granted when the gem matches the socket's original hue.

To sharpen the player experience, the Abyss and Legion league mechanics are getting a facelift. The Abyss content sees its combat and visual effects revamped for clarity, with updated monster behaviors. Meanwhile, Legion content introduces a fresh crafting system—using new currency to transfer unique armor abilities—ensuring that exclusive rewards remain tied to league play.
