NEXON rolled out the Guild War update for the HIT2 Origin server on the 22nd, introducing a new relic occupation battle. The publisher claims this update is designed to maximise the competitive spirit among players. Alongside this, the Classic server has received a refresh with new areas and various content adjustments.

The newly minted Guild War is a revamped version of the existing relic occupation battle, now shifted into a guild-centric affair. Up to 50 players per guild can participate in these skirmishes, vying for control points to secure relic buffs. Once the dust settles on each match, guilds are awarded tier points and loot based on their performance. The final tiers, which come with special rewards, will be determined based on the results of an eight-week season. Meanwhile, the Origin server has also seen an expansion in the difficulty levels for party dungeons and the Potential system.

As for the Classic server, it is expanding its horizons with new hunting grounds. A level 65 region has been added to the Lament Sanctuary dungeon, and the 'Last Resting Place of the Sea' has been unveiled within the Fallen's Hideout. This new area features a formidable boss, Venukadal, who guards the Onyx material—essential for upgrading ancient-grade gear. Additionally, both the Origin and Classic servers have undergone a balance pass on the difficulty and rewards for specific sectors within the Void Mist Forest of the Fallen's Hideout.

To keep the momentum going, NEXON is hosting a variety of progression-focused events. Players can participate in the 'Dodo's Growth Support Attendance' event, which runs until August 12th. Furthermore, those who complete the 'Chaos Growth Missions' by July 28th will be rewarded with Ancient Pet Challenge Summoning Tickets and Relic Liberation Coins on the Origin server, while Classic server players will receive Hero Pet Challenge Summoning Tickets and Relic Liberation Coins.

These Relic Liberation Coins can be further accumulated during a three-week integrated event and spent in a dedicated shop. Origin server players can trade them for items like a Legendary Pet Guaranteed Summoning Ticket or an Ancient Class and Pet Selection Summoning Ticket. Classic server participants can look forward to snagging items such as Hero Equipment Crafting Recipe Selection Pouches and Hero Class Guaranteed Summoning Tickets.
