Ubisoft has officially launched its storefront, and to mark the occasion, they are giving away the open-world action title 'Immortals Fenyx Rising' for free.

Back in 2009, when 'Assassin's Creed 2' first hit the shelves, Ubisoft introduced 'Uplay' as its own proprietary DRM and storefront platform. Fast forward to October 2020, and they transitioned that service into what we now know as 'Ubisoft Connect' during its beta phase.

Now, five years later, Ubisoft Connect has finally shed its beta skin. The PC client has been overhauled with a slicker UI. To celebrate the full release, they are offering Immortals Fenyx Rising for free via the Ubisoft Store and the PC client starting from the 13th.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is an action-adventure game that first arrived in 2020. Rooted in Greek mythology, it follows the journey of Fenyx, a shield-bearer tasked with taking down corrupted heroes to save the gods. The gameplay loop leans heavily on parkour with a stamina system, winged flight, and plenty of environmental puzzles.

While it initially faced some criticism for being a bit too close to 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild', it eventually earned its stripes for its punchy action and lighthearted narrative. It eventually made its way to Steam in 2022, where it maintains a 'Mostly Positive' (72% positive) rating from players.
