Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 12, titled 'Tavern at the Edge of Time,' has officially kicked off.

The update, which went live on the 3rd, introduces the 'Time-Warp Tavern' system. Nozdormu’s Time-Warp Tavern will appear twice in every match, offering a fresh selection of five special cards each time.

We are also seeing new heroes enter the fray: Murozond and Chromie. Murozond isn't one to play by the rules, sneaking you into the Time-Warp Tavern for an extra visit on turn 8. Meanwhile, Chromie uses her time-bending arts to fill the tavern exclusively with Tavern Spells.

The Rewards Track has been overhauled with the 'Beyond the Edge of Time' theme. Picking up the Season Pass grants you two extra hero choices at the start of every game, plus the usual bells and whistles: a new Edge of Time Legendary Strike, 13 hero skins, and a new bartender. If you fancy an upgrade to the Season Pass Plus, you'll snag all those rewards plus a hero reroll per game.

From the 4th to the 11th, Blizzard is running an in-game event called 'Welcome to the Neighborhood' to celebrate the housing system coming to World of Warcraft. Completing the event quests nets you two 'Welcome Home!' cards (both normal and golden versions). Once you've earned the 'Welcome Home' achievement by getting your first house in the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, 'Midnight,' you can also unlock the 'Welcome to Hearthstone' card back.
