The next expansion for Diablo 4, titled 'Lord of Hatred', was revealed on the 12th at The Game Awards 2025.

The expansion is slated for a worldwide release, including Korea, on April 28 next year. It features a new campaign, two new classes, a massive gameplay overhaul, and a brand-new region: Skovos.

Skovos is the ancient cradle of the first civilization, once the sanctuary for Lilith and Inarius. Under the rule of the Oracle and the Amazon Queen, this region is a mix of volcanic beaches, storm-ravaged forests, forgotten temples, and wave-eroded ruins—all packed with new demons, dungeons, and lore.

This marks the largest gameplay overhaul since the launch of Diablo 4. The skill trees have been improved, the level cap has been raised, and a loot filter has been added for more efficient farming. The Horadric Cube makes its return alongside a revamped crafting system, and the new 'Relic' system introduces set bonuses to help players flesh out their builds. Furthermore, players can now chart their own endgame path with 'War Plans', face endless waves of demons in 'Echoing Hatred', or enjoy fishing along Sanctuary's perilous shores.

Pre-orders for Lord of Hatred have gone live. Those who pre-order can dive straight into playing the new Paladin class starting from the 12th.
