Following the announcement of the live-action Tomb Raider series in May 2024, Amazon MGM Studios released the first image featuring lead actress Sophie Turner on the 15th (KST).

Sophie Turner, who plays the lead role of Lara Croft, is a British actress known for her roles as Sansa Stark in the HBO series 'Game of Thrones' and Jean Grey in the 'X-Men' film series. In addition to Turner, a number of actors including Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bob Semple, Jack Bannon, and John Heffernan have been named to the cast.

As for the production team, actress and screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge serves as executive producer, and Jonathan van Tulleken, producer of 'Shogun', is in charge of directing.
