The buzz began on the 16th following a post on X by Karen Dyer, the voice actress who played Sheva in Resident Evil 5. The post included the phrase, 'Some fun things are in the works for March, stay tuned,' along with the Resident Evil 30th anniversary hashtag. The attached video also featured the text, 'I know something, but I cannot share it with the world yet.'

Fans are hopeful that this teaser is related to a 'Resident Evil 5 Remake.' The primary reasons for this speculation are that the voice actress specifically mentioned the 30th anniversary, and given that the series has already seen remakes up to the fourth installment, it is widely considered to be the next in line.

Meanwhile, Capcom is preparing for the February release of the series' latest entry, 'Resident Evil Requiem.' As the ninth title in the series, it follows the story of Grace, an FBI agent investigating the hotel where her mother was murdered. Additionally, the appearance of series veteran Leon S. Kennedy has also been teased.
