Pan Studio released the first update of January for its action RPG 'Duet Night Abyss' on the 20th. Simultaneously, the Steam version has officially launched.

The update introduces 'Chronicles of Jiao-Zhu', a story content featuring the new character 'Jiao-Zhu'. A Light-attribute character, Jiao-Zhu is characterized by the ability to freely wield all weapon types. The character PV was released on the official 'Duet Night Abyss' YouTube channel on January 16.

Jiao-Zhu becomes available after the update and can be accessed via 'Memory Fragments' in the sanctuary after obtaining the character and completing the main quest 'Beginning of Huaxi'. The character can also be acquired for free through request letters or purchased in the shop.

New weapon content has also been added. The assault rifle 'Fleeting Moonlight' and the polearm 'Future Dove' can be obtained for free through the forging system or purchased in the shop. Relevant letters for these weapons can be acquired through Immersive Theatre and Nightmare Echoes content.

Various in-game events will be held sequentially during the update period. Players can participate in attendance events, theatre events, and artillery practice drills to earn various growth materials.

Additionally, major systems including the request letter rotation have been overhauled. Some letters previously provided as rewards for Immersive Theatre and Nightmare Echoes have been replaced with new ones, and the existing letters have been added to the request letter shop for permanent sale. Consequently, the stage accompaniment and recommended attributes for theatre content have been updated, with Water and Light attributes now recommended.

The shop has also been expanded. 'Song of Thick Fog 2' songbook has been added to Luna's shop, allowing players to earn various rewards through investigation quests. The cosmetic shop will see the sequential addition of weapon skins and various decorative items, and a limited-time package exclusive to Jiao-Zhu will also be available.

Meanwhile, with this update, Duet Night Abyss has officially launched on the Steam platform, marking the developer's plan to expand its reach to global PC users beyond existing mobile and PC client players.
