Digital Touch has confirmed that a demo for Koei Tecmo’s Japanese horror adventure, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse remake, will be available from 5 March. You can get your hands on it across Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. As a bonus, there is also a crossover planned with Silent Hill f, which will arrive as free downloadable content featuring themed outfits.

New locations have been added, including the 'Um-chong' and the 'Film Hall'. The former is a bamboo-shrouded area marked by rope-bound graves, while the latter is a candle-lit sanctum housing statues of twins tethered together. Combat has also been tweaked with the introduction of the 'Molting' system. When a spirit molts, it recovers health and hits harder, glowing with a malevolent red aura. Deal enough damage, however, and you can break this state to trigger a 'Fatal Time', or better yet, defeat them before they molt to avoid a more gruesome encounter.
