Marvel Rivals, the co-op PVP shooter based on the Marvel IP, is kicking off Season 7.5 on the 17th. This update introduces the new duelist Black Cat to the battlefield, alongside a new PVE mode called Blood Hunt and the Hellfire Gala event.

With the launch of Season 7.5, Black Cat joins as a new hero. Known by her real name Felicia Hardy, she is a popular Marvel Comics character who also appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man films. She is noted for her thievery, acrobatics, and ability to inflict bad luck on opponents. In-game, she siphons luck from her enemies to deal more powerful damage. She also uses a 'Ghost Chase' ability to quickly close the distance for a surprise attack, and her ultimate unleashes a phantom assault that leaves enemies reeling from critical damage.

Black Cat trades the luck stolen from enemies for Gilded Saints to acquire treasures from the Thieves Guild, such as Jonas's Ring or the Helm of Hades. These items assist not only Black Cat's abilities but also the tactics of the entire team. Additionally, a new team-up skill is added. Players can activate team-up abilities with a combination of Black Cat, White Fox, and Captain America, implementing a mechanism where Black Cat's 'luck' buff further strengthens the combat skills of other heroes.

The 2026 Hellfire Gala event returns in the update on April 23. New limited-edition themed costumes for popular heroes like Magik, Gambit, and Phoenix will be revealed. Furthermore, Emma Frost's 'Gala Star' costume, which won the 2025 Hellfire Gala vote, will be given to all players for free. A new vote to select the star of the 2026 Hellfire Gala will also begin.

After the update on April 30, players can experience the 'Journey to Doomsday' prologue event. This event features an Avengers mode and offers new combat gameplay centered around Loki. On the same day, the final update will include PC client optimization, allowing users to selectively delete high-resolution packs to free up storage space.
