Nexon pulled back the curtain on the 23rd, dropping a video detailing the FC Online '8th Anniversary and Summer Update' roadmap. The presentation featured Nexon's Business Team Leader Lee Dong-heum alongside EA Korea's Producers Jang Jae-chang and Jeon Woo-hwan, who walked us through a slate of new content, quality-of-life improvements, and 8th-anniversary events running from April through July.

First off, the 8th-anniversary celebration is packed with various events. If you participate in the '8th Anniversary Homecoming' pre-registration by May 27, you will receive a KHD Class 11-man +8 squad and be able to view your eight-year personal record in the game. For new and returning users, checking in for eight days nets you a KHD +8 player (trade-restricted), with bonus rewards for playing three matches daily. Until June 10, the fan-favorite DIY event returns, offering a chance to obtain player packs up to +11. From May 1 to May 5, the '8th Anniversary Festival Burning' event will be held, offering rewards such as a '50% Fee Discount Coupon'.

As for updates, April will see improvements to user convenience. Features have been added to mass-release unregistered players, remove multiple training coaches at once, and delete up to 150 items in a single go. Two new player classes will be released: the WG (Warriors of Glory) class, featuring legendary players who left a strong impression on the global football stage, and the KHD (Korea Hero Debut) class, highlighting the debut season performances of 11 iconic South Korean stars.

In May, the KICK-OFF mode will be updated, allowing users to skip squad building and enjoy matches immediately, increasing accessibility for all users including newcomers. 'Player Raising', where you select a player to train and grow through matches, will be introduced as an FC Online M exclusive feature, providing the player's mini-face-on as a reward. Additionally, to commemorate the 8th anniversary, the TK (Team Korea) class will be released, consisting of players who have represented South Korea in eight international tournaments.

In June, the month of global international football, the 'Squad Maker' will be revamped and four new traits will be released. The 'Squad Maker' will expand its functionality from focusing on formations and player composition to include team and individual tactics, as well as training coach settings. A feature to import other managers' squad information and a community 'Squad Feed' will also be added. New traits include 'Trickster', which enhances skill-move performance, and 'Laser Shooter', which allows for lower and faster shots when shooting the ball coming from the opposite direction of the attack.

In July, a new 'Master' rank will be added between World Class and Challenger in 1vs1 official matches. Furthermore, the overall ranking system will be revamped, including adjustments to promotion difficulty and the introduction of relegation matches for the Challenger tier and above.
