You step back into the boots of pirate Edward Kenway, teaming up with historical legends like Charles Vane and Blackbeard to forge a republic of outlaws. The publisher is touting a shiny new engine for top-tier visuals, dynamic weather that actually impacts your sailing, expanded underwater exploration, and a suite of refined combat and stealth mechanics.

The Steam forums are already ablaze with debate. Some are clamouring for expanded localisation—demanding Ukrainian, Turkish, and Russian dubs—while others are busy drawing comparisons to the recently popular 'Windrose' or waxing nostalgic about the Ubisoft of the early 2010s. Of course, it isn't all plain sailing; there’s significant pushback regarding the mandatory Ubisoft account linkage and a rather steep price tag that hits 70,000 KRW here in Korea.
