Mgame is updating its wuxia MMORPG, Yulgang Online, with the arrival of a new class, Jin Pung-baek, alongside a host of commemorative events. To keep the momentum going, a brand new server, also named Jin Pung-baek, is set to launch on the 29th.

Jin Pung-baek, the third disciple of the original series' Cheonma Shingun, is a powerhouse known for his 'Cheoneum Gujeolmaek' constitution, granting him near-infinite inner energy. In-game, he lives up to his moniker, 'The Devil Who Calls for Blood Rain,' as a ranged fighter wielding the 'Blood Rain Ring.' Staying true to the source material, he trades his own vitality for devastating attacks—the lower his health drops, the more his offensive power skyrockets, and he even boasts a chance to resurrect when on the brink of defeat.

Yulgang Online is marking the occasion with the opening of a fresh server on April 29th, the first of its kind since 2020 and the first new addition to the server list in roughly six years.

The festivities run until June 3rd. For those settling into the new server, Mgame is handing out a care package containing essential gear: the 'Life and Death Book' for EXP protection, inventory expansion slots, and the 'Biramihwan' accessory. They are also incentivizing the grind with a leveling challenge; reach specific milestones for rewards, and the single player who hits the highest rank will be crowned the ultimate Jin Pung-baek master.

If you're looking to team up, partying with a Jin Pung-baek grants a 50% boost to EXP and 'Gi-yeon' acquisition. Hourly quizzes offer handy buffs, while snapping a photo with the Jin Pung-baek NPC in the Hyeonbalpa village provides extra perks. There is even a community-wide event where everyone joins forces to take down a massive event monster.

Kang Young-soon, Director of the Yulgang Business Division, remarked, "We've prepared these updates to honor the identity of the original character that fans have been waiting ages to see." He added, "Starting with this Jin Pung-baek update, we intend to keep the ball rolling with new dungeons and content designed for our top-tier players."
