Following its massive success in sweeping numerous GOTY awards, the official book series for Baldur's Gate 3 is set to be released.

Wizards of the Coast announced on the 25th (local time) a new project featuring four distinct books set in the world of Baldur's Gate 3. Slated for release within the year, the lineup includes a prequel novel, a notebook, a coloring book, and a cookbook. Each entry draws directly from in-game lore or items, capturing the attention of fans.

First up, 'Baldur's Gate 3: Astarion', releasing on September 29th, is a prequel novel to the game. It depicts Astarion's life as a thrall under the vampire lord Cazador Szarr before the events of the game. The story is penned by New York Times bestseller T. Kingfisher, with senior writer Stephen Rooney from Baldur's Gate 3 acting as a consultant. An audiobook version narrated by Astarion’s own voice actor, Neil Newbon, is also scheduled for release.

'Baldur's Gate 3: The Necromancy of Thay', released as a grid notebook, features design elements similar to the in-game item, such as foil detailing and an embossed skull on the cover. This notebook will be released on July 21st. The simultaneously announced coloring book features 40 black-and-white illustrations by artist Jackie King, covering characters, backdrops, and monsters, and is expected to launch this summer.

Finally, 'A Feast for a Tenday: The Official Baldur's Gate Cookbook' is scheduled for release on November 3rd. The book reportedly contains 65 recipes categorized by course and camp location.

Meanwhile, the companies stated that they plan to continue their collaboration to present various works beyond 2027.
