NEXUS Co., Ltd. announced on the 5th that it has launched a closed beta test for its first self-published new title, 'Frost Kingdom'. This test will run until June 10th, and global users can participate by downloading the mobile app from the pre-registration page or accessing it on PC. On PC, the game can be played directly via HTML5 without the need for any additional program installations.

Set in a medieval backdrop, 'Frost Kingdom' is an SLG that bills itself as the world's first Web3 SLG to incorporate a merge mechanic. It offers a variety of content, including the collection and nurturing of over 100 types of units and heroes across four rarity tiers, alongside a guild system. This closed beta test features the same payment system that will be used in the live service.

Notably, NEXUS Co., Ltd.'s proprietary Web shop platform, 'CROSS Game Hub', is being introduced for the first time, showcasing an AI-based web shop and payment infrastructure. Any payments made by users during the test period will be fully refunded in the form of in-game currency, 'Red Diamond', after the official game launch. This initiative aims to gather economic data from a real payment environment while minimising the burden on test participants.

Furthermore, user participation programs leveraging CROSS's full-stack ecosystem are also in operation. By completing missions linked to the streamer platform 'CROSS Wave' and uploading related content, users can earn CROSS tokens. Additionally, a 'Guild Power Ranking Event' will grant a total of 14,600 CROSS tokens to the top 20 guilds.

Hyun-guk Jang, CEO of NEXUS Co., Ltd., stated, "SLGs, with their complex economic structures involving resource production, exchange, and consumption, are the genre that best aligns with game tokenomics." He added, "Through this CBT, we aim to enhance the completeness of Frost Kingdom and use it as an opportunity to expand the range of successful genres on the CROSS platform, following MMORPGs, into SLGs as well."
