With the dust settling on the recent massive update, our top-tier rankers are already shattering records left and right. The team that took the crown in May has managed to outdo themselves, pushing past the barrier to clock in the first-ever sub-10-second run. The chase is officially on, with a swarm of competitors closing the gap. Let’s dive into the stats and the latest KookminTree leaderboard.

'9.747 seconds' - The first sub-10-second dungeon clear

The May champions, the 'Ppagguyanolja·Alt' duo, clearly aren't taking any breaks. They’ve shaved another 0.36 seconds off their personal best to land at 9.747 seconds, proving their own limits are just suggestions. They’ve kicked off June exactly how they finished May: firmly in first place, sticking to their tried-and-true 'Gunner·Warden' class combination.

Hot on their heels is the 'Bapsangnam·Gaejinsang' team, breathing down their necks with the same Gunner·Warden setup. They hit 9.816 seconds—a margin of a mere 0.069 seconds separating them from the top spot. It was a blink-and-you-miss-it finish for the first race of June.

As for the newcomer, the 'Illusionist', the 'Gaechoding·Gaejinsang' duo managed the best performance so far. With 'Gaechoding' on the Illusionist paired with a Warden, they posted a respectable 10.342 seconds. Given we’re only in the first week of June, expect that number to drop as they get more comfortable with the class.

The 'Illusionist' rises: A 33.6% jump to the top

Right after the big update, the Illusionist's initial share sat at a modest 13.7%. It wasn't exactly a poor showing, but it felt a bit underwhelming given the end-of-month crunch. Now that a new season is underway, the class has shown its true colours, vaulting to a massive 33.6% popularity rate. It’s an absolute landslide, dethroning long-standing favourites like the Blade Dancer and Gunner.

This shift has sent almost every other class’s popularity plummeting—with the exception of the Warden. The Blade Dancer took the hardest hit, dropping by 5.4 percentage points. It seems many players who weren't strictly focused on dungeon runs migrated from the Blade Dancer to the Illusionist.

The Warden, however, is a different story. They were entirely unfazed by the new kid on the block, actually gaining 0.8 percentage points. It’s no surprise, really; when it comes to high-end dungeon performance, they remain the gold standard.

Keeping the streak alive: 25 classes show up!

The first dungeon race of June saw 578 rankers on the board—down 257 from the May wrap-up. This is likely due to the free class change tickets currently on offer, which has players busy experimenting rather than pushing for records. It’s a transition period, after all.

Given the circumstances, I was worried the class diversity in the top charts might suffer, but thankfully, all 25 classes are still represented. While 'Geumgangsa·Mihogeomsa' is looking a bit shaky, they’ve managed to hold their ground for now.

The Illusionists who have mastered the dungeon are already hitting 10-second clears across the board. With so many players flocking to the class, it’s not going anywhere soon. Their main competition remains the usual suspects: Blade Dancer, Gunner, and Warden. The first two are now essentially playing catch-up to the Illusionist's new benchmark.
