Look, let's be honest: a US company has made headlines by officially declaring the launch day of GTA 6 a company-wide holiday.

Based in California, the automotive tuning parts manufacturer Burger Motorsports dropped a cheeky notice on their Instagram this past 11th. The statement reads, "Due to the release of GTA 6, we anticipate some minor operational hiccups, so we've decided to designate November 19 (the GTA 6 launch date) as a temporary holiday." They added, "Several staff members have already booked leave to visit Vice City that day," and noted with a wink that "operations will resume once the team has finished their initial exploration and cleared at least one mission before returning to the real world."

This isn't exactly the first time a company has downed tools for a massive game launch. Pocketpair, famous for their work on Palworld, is a bit of a trendsetter here. They famously granted all staff leave for the launch of Elden Ring in 2022 and have also shut down the office for the release of Monster Hunter Wilds.

As for the game itself, GTA 6 is slated for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, with pre-orders kicking off on June 25. Along with this news, the official cover art—iconic to the GTA series—was unveiled on the 19th.
