Level Infinite announced on the 23rd that it has released a massive update for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, featuring new SSR characters and full-voiced story content. Through this update, players can encounter powered-up characters from the Matis squad along with new costumes.

First, the new SSR attacker 'Laplace: Ultimate Hero' from Missilis uses a rocket launcher and wind code to deal heavy damage and enhance her own attack capabilities upon activating her burst skill. The SSR supporter 'Maxwell: Ordinary Mechanic' wields a sniper rifle and wind code, boosting the attack power of both herself and her allies when her burst skill is activated. These characters can be obtained during their respective special recruitment periods and can be temporarily tested at the Union Shooting Range.

Two new character costumes have also been added. 'Laplace: Ultimate Hero – Prototype Hero' is available as the top-tier reward for the Prototype Pass, which runs until August 12. Additionally, 'Maxwell: Ordinary Mechanic – Chief Researcher' is provided through the August Mission Pass, available for one month starting August 1. The previously released 'Dorothy – Nostalgia' costume is also making a return.

Meanwhile, the new story event 'PROJECT MATIS' begins its first chapter on the 23rd, with the second chapter scheduled for release on July 30. Items earned upon completing the event can be exchanged for recruitment tickets and more. Furthermore, the 'Hero Days' login event and weekend 'Full Burst Day' events will be held. Along with functional improvements to the 'Tracing the Stars' rhythm game, new personal item features for characters such as Phantom and Sugar have also been implemented.
