The official spin-off of the hit game Vampire Survivors, 'Warhammer Survivors', which was announced last November, has released new gameplay footage introducing its weapons. The footage highlights a massive axe capable of sweeping through countless enemies, leaving a strong impression.

Auroch Digital, the British developer behind Warhammer Survivors, released a gameplay video on its official YouTube channel on the 25th, showcasing 'Zangrom-Thaz', one of the weapons featured in the game. The video shows the giant axe spinning and clearing out hordes of 'Skaven', the humanoid rat race appearing as enemies in this title.

This new title is a Warhammer-based roguelite survival game. It is an official spin-off developed by Auroch Digital in collaboration with Poncle, the developer of Vampire Survivors. The game features various characters from Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, and revolves around collecting and upgrading weapons to defeat endless waves of enemies. Players can continue to grow by unlocking weapons, abilities, and relics even after death.

Characters from Warhammer 40,000 include Malum Caedo, Trooper Kozlowski, and Brother Luca, while Warhammer: Age of Sigmar features Neave Blacktalon, Sharynn Azurwrath, and Gotrek Gurnisson. In addition to the Skaven mentioned earlier, various other hostile factions are also scheduled to appear.

The weapons are also based on the Warhammer universe. The Zangrom-Thaz revealed this time is Gotrek's iconic weapon, which can be used by evolving the Firestorm Greataxe. Before evolution, the player must move to increase the axe's speed and power, but once it becomes Zangrom-Thaz, it can swing and attack surrounding enemies regardless of movement. Many other iconic Warhammer weapons will also be featured.

Warhammer Survivors is set to launch on Steam later this year and will support Korean subtitles.
