A new voxel sandbox title reminiscent of Minecraft, 'Everwind', has launched on Steam in Early Access and is currently holding a 'Very Positive' (92% positive) rating.

'Everwind' is a first-person survival RPG sandbox. Set against the backdrop of the open skies above the clouds, it follows the genre's core gameplay loop: gathering resources, building bases, and fighting enemies. While the graphics are voxel-based, it differs from other sandbox games that typically feature SD characters by opting for more realistic character proportions.

The game takes place across floating islands in the sky. You can destroy and reshape almost every piece of terrain to gather various resources. Your primary mode of transport is an airship, which serves as a core base for producing survival supplies and resting, in addition to navigating the skies.

You can explore labyrinths with sword and shield to collect loot, or use staves and alchemy to strike enemies and support allies. The game also supports detailed character customization, including facial features, hairstyles, and skin tones. Furthermore, it supports co-op and online multiplayer for those who wish to play with others.

Everwind is scheduled for a full release in Q1 2027, and an update roadmap has been revealed. Planned updates for this year include a building system, skill trees, new enemies, new weapon types, and additional game modes.
