WEMIX announced on the 1st that it has inked a strategic partnership with global payment platform DCS Pay, focusing on token-based payments and stablecoin settlements. The goal here is to integrate their payment infrastructures to broaden their reach. WEMIX is pushing to integrate its token payment support into a wider global merchant network, making access easier for users.

DCS Pay is a payment platform backed by the Singapore-based financial heavyweight, DCS Group. The group operates the DCS Card Centre, which holds a license to issue credit cards under the supervision of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Its core strength lies in its massive network of millions of merchants and robust infrastructure for card issuance and settlement.

The two companies plan to support WEMIX tokens and the ecosystem stablecoin, WEMIX$, as payment currencies across DCS Pay’s global network. This bridges the gap, allowing global users to purchase real-world goods and services offline. Furthermore, they are looking to expand DCS Pay’s payment solutions across the entire WEMIX platform and introduce multi-chain stablecoin settlements to support transactions in the WEMIX Play store.

There is also talk of leveraging DCS Group’s expertise in global card issuance. DCS Group operates the 'DCS DeCard', which allows users to utilize stablecoins like Tether and Circle for everyday spending. WEMIX is currently exploring how to integrate this infrastructure with the WEMIX ecosystem to develop a Web3-integrated payment card that works across global credit card networks, aiming for a seamless online and offline payment experience.
