Brown Dust 2 has announced plans to adjust certain suggestive in-game resources to remain compliant with domestic rating standards.

The news arrived via an emergency live broadcast held on the 28th. Neowiz PD Lee Jun-hee stated, "We have decided to modify some costume resources for the Korean region to align with domestic laws and rating guidelines," adding that this was an "essential measure to continue service within Korea."

The content slated for modification includes cutscenes for the 'Palette of Nightmare' costume, the 'Retired Legend Olstein' costume, and specific secret event visuals. These changes apply exclusively to the Korean client starting on the 30th. As compensation, 4,000 free diamonds will be distributed. Furthermore, users owning the affected costumes will receive an additional 2,000 free diamonds per costume, alongside a full refund of any currencies—such as diamonds, crystal shards, and gold—used for costume upgrades.

PD Lee Jun-hee further outlined three specific rating criteria: the depiction of specific body parts, the presence of bodily fluid depictions, and instances where player input excessively encourages suggestive actions. The developer added, "We have also accumulated numerous warnings from Google and Apple, and we are currently monitoring the situation as closely as possible."

Regarding this, an official from the Game Rating and Administration Committee told Gamemeca, "Following complaints regarding suggestive content in Brown Dust 2, the committee conducted monitoring and confirmed the presence of inappropriate material inconsistent with the current age rating." The official further noted, "The developer has opted to modify the content to maintain the current rating, and the committee is reviewing the situation based on a comprehensive assessment of the detailed criteria and overall context."
