The Netmarble Cultural Foundation has refurbished the Netmarble Game Museum library and transformed its inaugural special exhibition, 'Press Start, The Korean PC Game Stage,' into a permanent fixture.

This move aims to shed new light on the historical significance of 'Korean PC games,' which laid the foundations for the domestic industry between the golden age of consoles in the 1980s and the rise of online gaming in the 2000s. The exhibition chronicles the grit and expertise of first-generation developers who managed to foster local gaming despite the lack of copyright awareness and the rampant piracy of the era.

The museum has restored chronological panels covering history from the 1990s through the 2000s, alongside a showcase of actual retail packaging from iconic titles of the period. Furthermore, the exhibition revisits key themes including 'People, Content, Technology, and Localization,' charting the evolution of the Korean PC gaming scene.

The library space has also undergone a makeover. By removing flexible walls to gain more room, the space is now divided into a reading area and an exhibition zone, with the reading room redesigned to blend chronological history with themed keyword zones.

The Netmarble Cultural Foundation intends to continue expanding its role in documenting and preserving gaming culture, aiming to evolve into a space that keeps visitors coming back, while remaining a welcoming destination for families.

The Netmarble Game Museum operates daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Mondays. The final entry time is 5:30 PM.
