Oddish, Exeggutor, Pikachu, and various other Pokémon are waiting for trainers to arrive on Jeju Island.

On the 17th, Pokémon Korea announced that it had signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Jeju Tourism Organization, the Jungmun Tourism Complex Council, and the Korea Tourism Organization. The partnership aims to co-host 'Pokémon Wonder Island in JEJU' in the Jungmun Tourism Complex area this coming October.

Pokémon Wonder Island in JEJU is a massive project running from October 2 to October 26. Pokémon Korea plans to feature several highlights: ▲ Pokémon photo zones and event information at Jeju International Airport ▲ A Pokémon GO stamp rally across the Jungmun Tourism Complex ▲ The nation's first-ever 'Pokémon RUN' ▲ And exhibitions and stores within the Yeomiji Botanical Garden. The Pokémon RUN has been officially scheduled for October 11.

To start, in collaboration with the Jeju International Airport authority, the project will greet visitors—both domestic and international—with Pokémon-themed photo spots and information kiosks. Furthermore, the Jungmun Tourism Complex will host an event featuring the 'GO Stamp Rally' function for the first time in Korea, which originally debuted in Japan this past May.

The most eye-catching addition is undoubtedly the debut of 'Pokémon RUN' on domestic soil. It is set to take place at the Jungmun CC, where the coastal course promises a majestic backdrop of natural beauty, perfect for a family-friendly participatory event. Meanwhile, the Yeomiji Botanical Garden will be transformed to delight visitors with Pokémon hiding among the lush greenery, surely setting the hearts of fans aflutter.

The Jeju Tourism Organization, the Jungmun Tourism Complex Council, and the Korea Tourism Organization have pledged full administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth operation of this project. The 'Pokémon RUN' will also be bolstered by various corporate sponsors.

Pokémon Korea remarked, "Following the 'Flying Pikachu Project in Jeju' in 2023, we are delighted to partner with Jeju Island once again in 2025," adding, "We are committed to boosting tourism in Jeju and enhancing the value of the Pokémon brand through diverse programs, including the Pokémon RUN."
