Square Enix has finally pulled back the curtain on the closed beta schedule for its Steam-based murder mystery action game, 'KILLER INN'. The playtest kicks off this Saturday the 26th at 7:00 AM and will run until Tuesday the 29th at 6:59 AM.

KILLER INN is a game centered on death, deception, and deduction. You might find yourself playing as a wolf, or perhaps a sheep with a penchant for fighting back. This closed beta test supports up to 24 players per session, split into 8 wolves and 16 sheep. Your objective is to gather evidence, root out the wolves, and eliminate them. The win condition is to wipe out the opposing team entirely.

This inaugural test is primarily focused on putting the network and server stability through their paces. Do note that there will be no tutorial included, so the developer strongly advises you to brush up on the game rules and core mechanics before you dive in.

If you are keen on joining the fray, head over to the Steam store page and click the 'Request Access' button. Once granted access, the participant will receive a notification via their Steam-registered email, and that access will remain valid throughout the testing period.

It is worth noting that the test version is a different beast compared to the final release. While all characters are available from the jump during this trial, the full version will require players to unlock characters through gameplay progression.
