The Overwatch Champions Series 2025 Midseason Championship, where the global titans of the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) will be crowned, kicks off at 10:00 PM on July 31 (Thursday, KST) as part of the Esports World Cup.

Running for four days from July 31 to August 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Midseason Championship serves as the official Overwatch 2 tournament for the Esports World Cup 2025 and stands as the premier international event for OWCS Stage 2.

Sixteen teams, all having established themselves as the strongest in their respective regions, are set to clash. The lineup includes Asian heavyweights like the 2025 OWCS Champions Clash winners Crazy Raccoon, OWCS Korea Stage 2 runners-up T1, third-place finishers All Gamers Global, OWCS Japan Stage 2 victors VARREL, and OWCS Pacific Stage 2 champions The Gatos Guapos. Joining them are Team Falcons—who secured their ticket via the EWC Last Chance Qualifier on the 20th—alongside representatives from China, North America, EMEA, and South America, all vying for the ultimate global bragging rights.

For the first two days, the field will be split into four groups for the group stage, where the top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs to determine the final winner.

Viewers can also earn rewards for watching the broadcast. Across the four days of competition, you can earn rewards based on cumulative watch time, ranging from sprays, icons, and profile cards to loot boxes and skins for iconic heroes like Kiriko, Genji, and Juno. These drops are available via Chzzk; simply log in to your Naver account and tune into the official EWC Chzzk channel or co-streamer broadcasts to claim your loot.

The entire event will be broadcast live on the official EWC Chzzk channel. The Korean commentary team, featuring casters Shim Ji-soo and Park Han-eol, alongside analysts Jang Ji-soo, Hong Hyun-seong, and Moon Chang-sik, will be on hand to guide you through the action.

With the tournament approaching, Blizzard has also unveiled team-themed bundles for OWCS partner teams. These bundles, covering nine organizations including Crazy Raccoon, ZETA DIVISION, T1, and Team Falcons, allow you to show off your allegiance with team-specific hero skins and items. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the teams to support their operations. Additionally, the new legendary 'Radiant Angel Mercy' skin is available for a limited time, with its revenue also contributing to the support fund for OWCS partner teams.
