Blomics and Raon Entertainment have rolled out the second wave of their summer update for Tales Runner. The update introduces the next stage of the 'Animal Village' channel, various quality-of-life improvements, and events commemorating National Liberation Day.

First, two new maps emphasizing teamwork have been added. The 'Battle of Animal Village Sheriff's Office' is the hard mode successor to the previous 'Infiltration of Animal Village Sheriff's Office', offering a high-difficulty experience where coordination is essential. Additionally, 'Heave-Ho Fruit Dash' has been introduced, a competitive map where two teams of six race to deliver the most fruit within a time limit.

Quality-of-life improvements have also been implemented. The 'Newbie Support Necklace', which automatically sets item stats to the highest available, now has its level cap extended up to the Purple Luna Wing Boots. Furthermore, the 'Shu'—a companion that runs for the player—will no longer suffer from hunger, and the personal 'Farm' system has seen an expansion in visitor capacity and decoration limits.

The 'Animal Village Flea Market' will be open until September 3rd. During this period, players can exchange 'Flea Market Talents' earned from playing Animal Village maps for rewards such as the 'Animal Village Coin Bundle'.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Liberation Day, an event will run until the 20th. Players must find 'Liberation Commemoration Chests' that appear in the park at specific times and input the displayed phrases faster than others. Rewards include the 80th Anniversary title, Liberation Day pets, independence activist-themed eyewear, and the national flag. New items, such as the 'Animal Pajama Box' featuring animal-themed outfits, have also been released.
