The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association has announced that League of Legends pro gamer 'Chovy' Jeong Ji-hoon has donated 20 million KRW to support drought relief efforts in Gangneung. These funds are earmarked to assist residents struggling with water shortages as the prolonged drought continues to affect the region.

Jeong has a history of charitable contributions, including support for flood and typhoon victims in 2023, aid for the families of the 2025 Jeju Air accident, and emergency relief for forest fires in North Gyeongsang, South Gyeongsang, and Ulsan in 2025. With this latest act of generosity, the total amount Jeong has contributed to Hope Bridge now reaches 70 million KRW.

Jeong Ji-hoon stated, "I am always grateful for the immense love sent by my fans, and I continue to donate to pay back a fraction of the support I have received," adding, "I hope this sharing provides a small source of strength to those experiencing hardship."

Kim Hee-yoon, head of the fundraising team at the Korea Disaster Relief Association, remarked, "We thank Chovy for practicing charity for neighbors suffering from the severe drought," and promised, "We will actively utilize these funds to support the affected residents."

The Korea Disaster Relief Association, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, has previously provided emergency water supplies to Gangneung, including 20,160 bottles of 500ml water, 29,760 bottles of 2L water, and an additional 436,624 bottles secured through corporate donations from entities such as Oriental Brewery.
